What is Moodle?

Moodle is the University's VLE (Virtual Learning Environment).  Moodle is a learning platform designed to provide you with a single, integrated, personalised learning environment.  Because it is open-source, Moodle can be customised in anyway and tailored to your needs.  It is is web-based and can be accessed from anywhere in the world. It can be used for:

  • Online assignment submission
  • Quizzes
  • Discussion activities
  • Virtual classroom sessions
  • Plagiarism reports
  • ePortfolios, wikis, glossaries and much more
