FAQ 213
What happens during arrivals weekend?

Arriving at university is a big step and you'll have a busy weekend getting packed and unpacked, so we want to make sure you know what you can expect.

  • The first step is to arrive at the time you selected to move in on the Accommodation Hub.  There will be people on campus to guide you to the right area so you can collect your keys and your welcome pack.
  • Once you have your keys you can make your way to your halls of residence where there will be staff from Campus & Residential Services and Residential Support Assistants (RSA), as well as volunteers from our clubs and societies, to help you carry your things to your room.
  • In the evenings there will be a bit of a social meal at the Students Union on both Saturday and Sunday, where you can meet other students and relax for the evening.  There will also be talks given by the your Students' Union Sabbatical Officers.
