FAQ 305
Who do I inform if I need reasonable adjustments for an exam?

If you have declared a disability, specific learning difficulty, mental health issue or have a temporary condition or injury you may be entitled to access additional arrangements for your examinations.  We will require appropriate documentation as supporting evidence of the condition for which you request these arrangements.  If you have not already provided Disability Advice with appropriate documentation, for example an Educational Psychologist’s Report, Study Needs Assessment or medical evidence, please arrange an appointment to discuss any alternative arrangements.

To book an appointment please goes to the 'Meet with a Disability Adviser' webpage. You can also visit the Information Services desk in Holgate or Fountains, or call them on 01904 876477.

PLEASE NOTE: Evidence should be received at least eight weeks before the exam period for Registry to be able to guarantee the alternative arrangements. All students who have alternative arrangements will receive an e-mail from Registry confirming the individual arrangements at least two weeks before each examination period.

Please be aware you will need to meet a disability adviser to receive examination adjustments at University, even if you had them in place previously, at School, College or another University.
