Appendix 2 of the Immigration Rules states that nationals of certain countries must register with the local police.  This list can change so will need to be checked at the point that you arrive in the UK.  In addition, it should also say on any confirmation letters from the Home Office or on your Entry Clearance vignette (the visa sticker in your passport) whether or not you need to register with the police, but if you are still unsure you can e-mail us at visa@yorksj.ac.uk

Please note, students should now register online with the local police and paper forms are no longer accepted.  Please follow the instructions carefully on screen and ensure that you still book an appointment to collect your certificate from the Police Station once it is ready.
