At present, there is very little chance your landlord will allow you to leave your tenancy before the end of your contract. However, here are a few suggestions you can try especially if you are struggling financially due to loss of your part-time job:

Speak to your landlord explain your situation. Ask if he/ she could let you out of your contract early. If this is refused, ask if they would consider a reduced rent for the remainder of the contract given the current circumstances. This might be a good way of approaching it.
