I'm an international student, where can I find support?

Support from the ISS Team

The ISS team is still here to help you with any questions or issues. You can continue emailing us at iss@yorksj.ac.uk, or you can call us on our temporary work mobile on 07857990948. Our office drop-in will be cancelled until further notice.

Global Cafe

Global Cafe will be moving to a digital format for the rest of this semester. We won't be able to provide our usual snacks and drinks digitally, but we'd love to keep in touch! Our Cafe Coordinators will be posting the usual quizzes, fact sheets, and activity ideas on our social media platforms, and will be online during our regular cafe times to chat. Follow @YSJGlobalCampus on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter to get involved, and we'll share more details about each cafe in the Global Bulletin.

Global Bulletin

We'll be sending our Global Bulletin each Thursday as normal. The content may change a bit, but we want to keep in touch with you, and look for ways for our international community to keep connecting, so look out for your bulletin tomorrow as usual!

Global Trips

Our two scheduled trips have been cancelled and those who have bought tickets have received an email with details of how they will be refunded. We will let you know when tickets are available for our new trips programme.

Language, Communication and Study Skills

Insessional Support & Language Development (ISLD) is available to help you with language, communication and study skills. Email us at language-support@yorksj.ac.uk or visit our Moodle page. You can book an individual tutorial and / or attend our Academic Discussion Group every Thursday from 12.30 to 1.30, on Teams.
