Full-time students living in York can benefit from York Council’s online Council Tax Exemption service, where you can apply for a discount or exemption online without the need to supply student certificates. The online form also allows you to submit just one form for the whole household. Please note that this will only be applicable for the address you are in at the point you re-enrol with YSJ. If you move before the end of term you will need to reapply for the exemption/discount.
Full-time students living outside of the York Council area can apply for Council Tax exemption to their Council, but will need to provide them with a York St John Council Tax exemption certificate. These are available on request from your e:Vision homepage.
