How do I enrol if I'm a new student?

Joining a university can appear to be a complex and confusing process.  However, having an understanding of what is required will save you time and make your first weeks at York St John University far more enjoyable.

Once your offer of a place has been confirmed, you will receive an email inviting you to enrol online.  These emails will be sent from mid-August onwards.

Pre-arrival

  • Create your IT account

  • Upload a photo

  • Complete online enrolment via e:Vision

  • Visit the Welcome Website

  • Familiarise yourself with e:Vision

When you arrive here (for students studying on-campus)

  • Confirm your arrival on campus

  • Enrol with the Medical Centre

  • Apply for Council Tax exemption (for full-time students)

  • Complete your online Electoral Registration

It is vital that you enrol with the University as soon as possible because this creates the formal contract between you and the University.  It enables you to:

  • Use the library

  • Use computing facilities

  • Receive your University student ID card

  • Have your student loan payments initiated (if applicable)
